Cupping — negative pressure where hands alone stop short
“You will leave saying WOW.”
One of the best deep-tissue therapies available — suction that loosens muscle, encourages blood flow and sedates the nervous system.

What it is
Cupping is one of the best deep-tissue therapies available. It is thought to affect tissues up to four inches deep from the external skin. The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow and sedate the nervous system — which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure. It is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism and even cellulite.
At $100 it is the most affordable treatment on the menu and it is frequently added to a deep tissue or sports session rather than booked alone. Where hands compress tissue, cups lift it — a different mechanism that often reaches what pressure has not.

What it helps
- Back and neck pain that has not responded to pressure alone
- Stiff, dense muscle tissue
- Anxiety and fatigue
- Migraines and rheumatic complaints
- Adding depth to a deep tissue or sports session
What is included
- A conversation about marking, since cups can leave temporary discoloration
- Cup placement over the regions that need it
- Static or moving cupping depending on the tissue
- Time on the table afterwards to let the area settle
- Aftercare — water, warmth and what the marks mean
The session
How a cupping appointment runs
Check the plan
We agree where cups will go and talk through marking before anything is placed.
Place
Cups are applied and suction set to a level you are comfortable with.
Move or hold
Static cupping for dense tissue, moving cupping along a muscle for broader release.
Settle and advise
Cups come off, the area is worked briefly by hand, and you leave knowing what to expect.

“Shawn is amazing. He's been helping me with my posture. A blessing from GOD. Only drawback because he's so good is lack of appointments besides the monthly one :(”
Questions
Cupping: the questions people ask
Do the marks hurt?
The marks themselves are not bruises and are not usually tender. They come from drawing stagnant blood toward the surface and typically fade within a few days to a week.
How long do the marks last?
Commonly three to seven days, sometimes longer on very dense tissue. If you have an event coming up, tell me and we will plan around it.
Can cupping be added to another treatment?
Yes, and it usually is. It combines particularly well with deep tissue and sports therapy — mention it at booking so time is allowed.
Is it safe with high blood pressure?
Cupping is described as sedating to the nervous system, which is why it is used for high blood pressure. Tell me about your condition and any medication at intake.
Does it hurt during treatment?
Most people describe a strong pulling sensation rather than pain. Suction is adjustable and set to your comfort.
Who should avoid it?
Anyone on blood thinners, with a skin condition in the area, or who is pregnant should say so before we start, and we will talk it through.
